Get Trick'd

Get Trick'd is a Richmond, VA based tribute to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Cheap Trick. Performing the songs, using the instruments, and adopting the personas of each band member, Get Trick'd faithfully recreates the complete Cheap Trick concert experience. Get Trick'd not only performs such hits as "Surrender", "Dream Police", "The Flame" and "I Want You to Want Me" but they also dig deeper into the Cheap Trick catalog with songs like "Oh Candy", "Voices" and "Big Eyes". Get Trick'd also performs Cheap Trick's breakthrough album "Live at Budokan" in its entirety upon request.

As "Robin Zoolander", David Hunter portrays Cheap Trick lead vocalist/guitarist Robin Zander with all of the original's considerable charisma and style. He has been a member of several well-known Richmond bands including The Fredds and The Limit, and is also an unofficial member of Flat Elvis. He draws you in with a constant smile on his face and vocals that perfectly recreate the nuances of each Cheap Trick song.

Tommy Pearson as "T'rick Nielsen" literally becomes lead guitarist Rick Nielsen, wearing the trademark button-covered sweaters, throwing picks to the audience, and quoting Rick's stage banter. Tommy plays several guitars every show, including some Hamer guitars that are identical to what Cheap Trick uses. Tommy was a member of several Richmond area bands including Rockslide, Hedley Lamar, and High Roller. You WILL be tricked by his performance!

Steve Wetzler handles the bass duties in Get Trick'd, playing Cheap Trick's Tom Petersson as "Tom Steversson". He uses both 8- and 12-string basses, instruments that were invented by the Cheap Trick bassist. This is instrumental (see what we did there?) to how Get Trickā€™d pulls off the Cheap Trick sound so convincingly. Steve was also a member of The Fredds and as one of the best bass players in the area, stays in high demand filling in for many local bands. You never know who else Steve may be appearing with!

Drummer Mark Watts completes Get Trick'd under the stage name "Mark E. Carlos". He takes on the personality of the unassuming, smoking, used car salesman of Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos from the band's classic lineup. With his trademark round glasses and Ludwig drums, Mark propels Get Trick'd with an uncanny resemblance to the style of the one and only Mr. Carlos. Mark has been on the music scene since the mid 80's with Va. Beach's own Boneshakers, and after relocating to Richmond as one of The Fredds for almost their whole existence. He is also a member of the classic country band The Honky Tonk Experience.

Get Trick'd is the ultimate tribute to Cheap Trick. Do yourself a favor and check them out soon!!!
